Community Living
Program Description
Residential Services provides small Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) for adults diagnosed with an intellectual/developmental disability. Several different types of living arrangements are available including Intermittent CILA services, generally provided in an apartment setting, and CILA, a group home model with staff on site 24 hours a day. Support services are coordinated that reflect the individual’s needs and preferences.
Additional Supports
- Coordination of community resources and supports to meet individual needs such as medical, dental, educational, psychological, social, etc.
- Coordinated case management provided by Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDP)
- Support from contractual Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) available. Services include behavioral assessment, development of a behavior support plan and ongoing evaluation and supports

- Opportunities for skill development and growth in areas of self-advocacy, economic self-sufficiency, socialization, use of community resources, daily living and independent living skills, self-administering medications
Admission Criteria
To be eligible for Residential Services, a person must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- Have a diagnosis of a developmental disability
- Be in need of a supervised living arrangement
- Need an array of services
- Be able to give informed consent to participate in CILA themselves or through a guardian
- Agree to participate in the development and implementation of their person-centered plan
- Have Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) approved funding

24 Hour CILAs: Alsip, Midlothian, Garden Homes, Oak Forest, Homewood, Flossmoor and Olympia Fields
Intermittent CILA: South Chicago and South Suburbs
