Adopt-A-Home and Consumer Buddy
The winter holiday season is fast approaching and once again
Sertoma Centre is hosting our annual Adopt-a-Home and Consumer Buddy Programs
Many consumers do not have family to visit or celebrate with and are left feeling lonely and forgotten
during what is supposed to be a joyous time of year.
With your generous help, we can change this and make the holidays extra special.
Thanks to you and others, they will know someone cares about them.

With your generous help, we can change this and make the holidays extra special.

How to participate:
• First, choose the program you want to help with: the Adopt-a-Home or Buddy. We have ten homes to be adopted (4-6 Consumers each), and over 50 consumers in need who would like a Buddy to make the holiday bright. Once you choose a home or buddy(s), you will receive their Gift Wish List, so you’ll have ideas of what gifts your home/buddy will enjoy. We ask that you purchase a few gifts per person amounting to between $40 and $50. Any amount you spend is greatly appreciated.
• All gifts should be wrapped/bagged with the name attached with a tag. Gift receipts placed inside the box/bag are appreciated but not necessary.
• Gifts can be dropped off at 4343 W. 123rd Street in Alsip, IL, or we can arrange for a Sertoma staff member to pick them up (local pickup only).
• All gifts are due by Friday, December 15. Sertoma will deliver to the recipients just in time for the holidays.

• Once you have signed up, Gwen Rucker, Volunteer and Events Manager, will reach out to you with details and send you a list of wishes for the consumer(s) you will be supporting this year. These programs are such a huge hit, availability tends to go quickly, so please don’t delay. Talk to your coworkers, family, and friends, and sign up today!
We also have consumers who did not make a wishlist but would benefit from a new winter coat. Please consider adding a coat to your donation. We will provide you with the size and gender.
