Program Description
Outpatient Counseling and therapy supports people who are seeking therapy for various types of concerns and are provided primarily to individuals (children, adolescents, adults) and also to families for the following:
- Anxiety
- Bipolar Disorders
- Depression
- Life transitions
- Grief & loss
- Trauma
- Divorce
- Overwhelmed and unable to resolve issues
- Other mental health concerns
- Substance use
- Problems in relationships
Program Highlights
Sertoma’s Outpatient Counseling has been supporting community members since 2011!
On average, it is only 5-10 days from your first call to your session with a therapist.
Therapists are trained in a variety of methods, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. All services are provided in a collaborative, client-centered manner.
Admission Criteria
A person must have available funding through a major commercial insurance carrier, Employee Assistance Program, or be willing to self-pay to be eligible for outpatient counseling and therapy services.
- The current insurance plans accepted by Sertoma Centre are:
Aetna, BCBS, and United Healthcare (Optum)
Credit/debit payment is accepted and there may be a co-pay due at the time of the appointment. Please refer to your member benefits to determine behavioral health benefits and co-pay information.
Lists of insurance plans accepted are updated periodically and subject to change.
Additional Supports
- The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors also have years of experience serving persons with serious and persistent mental illness
- The site is trauma-informed and ADA accessible
- Court-mandated Alcohol and Drug evaluations are completed by a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
