Program Description
Outpatient Counseling and therapy supports people who are seeking therapy for various types of concerns and are provided primarily to individuals (adults and adolescents) and also to families for the following:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Life transitions
- Grief & loss
- Trauma
- Divorce
- Overwhelmed and unable to resolve issues
- Other mental health concerns
- Substance use
- Family and marital problems
Additional Supports
- The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors also have years of experience serving persons with serious and persistent mental illness
- The site is trauma-informed
- The site is accessible

Sertoma’s Outpatient Counseling has been supporting community members since 2011!
On average it is only 3-7 days from your first call to your initial session with a therapist!
Therapists are trained in a variety of methods including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, EMDR, EFT, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. All services are provided in a collaborative client-centered manner.
Admission Criteria
To be eligible for outpatient counseling and therapy services, a person must have available funding through a major commercial insurance carrier, Employee Assistance Program or be willing to self-pay:
- Accepts most major insurance including:
Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, United Healthcare
- Accepts various Employee Assistance Programs (EAPS) including:
Aetna, Cigna, Employee Resource Systems, Humana, Northwestern Medicine, United Healthcare (Optum)
